During a Mix

While a mix is running, the screen organizes your mix information into cards and tiles. This guide explains the specific layout, buttons, and status indicators used.

The Exit / Pause Button

Located in the top-left corner, pressing this button pauses the mix and opens a dialog with three options.

The Options:

Save for Recovery: Select this if you need to stop now but finish later (e.g., swapping a tote). It saves your current state.
Save and Complete: Select this if you are done. This finalizes the mix and saves it to history.
Cancel: Returns you to the mix screen to keep working.

Before the mix has started (still connecting to the Mixmate, or the connection failed), there is nothing to save yet, so the dialog asks Quit Current Mix? with just Exit and Cancel. See Connectivity if the Mixmate won't connect.

Mix Status Card

The Mix Status Card acts as the "instrument cluster" for the machine.

Key Indicators:

Voltage: Displays the electrical voltage reading at the power module (the white box behind the status light).
Mixed Total: A running total of the entire batch so far.
Overall Flowrate: The combined speed of all products flowing into the tank at this moment.

Product Cards: Small Layout (Tiles)

Products appear as tiles. This allows you to see the status of many products at once.

Key Fields:

Name: The product name.
Plumbing: Which valve or pump is controlling this product.
Actual: How much has been added so far.
Target: The total amount required.

Status Colors & Animations The visual indicators on the tiles work as follows:

White/Gray: Waiting. The product has not started yet.
Clockwise Orange Fill: In Progress. The background fills up in a clockwise motion as the product is added (like a pie chart).
Shaded Overlay: Rinsing or Pre-filling is active.
Green: Complete. The target amount has been reached.

Product Cards: Large Layout (Standard)

When you tap a tile or the machine requires your input, the card expands to the Large Layout. This is used for manual additions, typically through an inductor.

Key Buttons:

Continuous Flow: Switches to "Continuous Flow" mode for large dry batches (requires a set container size).
Drain Inductor: Records the weight, drains the inductor, and resets for the next batch.
Finish Step: Marks the product as complete.
- Note: If using a Pro Inductor, closing the lid acts as pressing this button.

What the card shows during a hand pour: while the machine is working, the card shows what it's doing instead of the buttons:

Prefilling (with a percentage): water is going into the inductor before a dry product is added to a liquid mix.
Calculating: the scale is waiting for a steady reading before it zeroes. Wind or vibration can make this take longer. The scale zeroes on whatever is already in the inductor, so the amount shown is only the product you're adding.
Rinsing Jug: a jug is being rinsed into the inductor (see Jug Rinse).
Draining, then Rinsing (with a percentage): after you press Finish Step, the inductor drains, rinses, and drains again before the product is marked done.
Close Lid: on a Pro Inductor, close the lid to continue.

Jug Rinse

To rinse an empty jug, press it down onto the jug rinse nozzle in the inductor. Water sprays into the jug and rinses the last of the product into the inductor, and the card shows Rinsing Jug.

Because the rinse water joins the product on the scale during rinsing, Mixmate reconciles the reading when the scale settles, before the jug rinse valve opens: if the amount poured since the last jug is within the Reconciliation Percent of one container, it's counted as exactly one container. If the reading is outside this window, the exact amount measured is recorded. This keeps the rinse water from being counted as product. The product needs a Container Size for this to work.

Product Cards: Large Layout (Continuous Flow)

This mode is designed for adding multiple containers of dry flowables. It maintains a water level in the inductor automatically so you can pour continuously without clogging.

How it Works: product flows on through the inductor as you pour, so the scale can't weigh it. Instead, you count the containers you pour, and the amount is the number of containers times the container size.

Container Size: Displays the size of one bag/jug. Add and Remove only work when the product has a container size.
(+) Add: Adds one full container to the total count.
(-) Remove: Removes one container from the count (to fix errors). It never takes the amount below zero.
(0) Zero: When the reading is zero or negative, the Remove button changes to Zero. A negative reading usually means something was pressing on the inductor when the step started (for example, someone leaning on it), so the scale zeroed with that extra weight on it. Tap Zero to set the reading back to exactly zero before you start counting containers.
Return: Goes back to the standard view, where the scale weighs again.
Finish Step: Press this when you have finished pouring all containers.

Note: The Continuous Flow button only appears on inductors with a tank valve and a drain valve, and not on a product set to Skip Drain and Rinse.

Repacks

A Repack fills one container at a time. The product's card shows the target and amount for the current container, not the whole total. When a container is full, the card for the next one shows a full yellow bar and a Start Product button: swap in the next empty container, then tap it. The Repack stops on its own once less than half a container is left, and at the end you aren't asked to mark the Work Order complete.
