Profile Main Pump Wizard

Profile Main Pump is a setup wizard that allows the Mixmate system to analyze the actual performance and flow capabilities of your carrier pump and plumbing.

Why is this necessary?

The purpose of profiling the main pump is to find the maximum flowrate the pump is capable of achieving, and then also find the maximum valve opening needed to guarantee the products all flow and rinse properly. Instead of guessing, the Mixmate runs an automated test to find this balance between flow rate and valve control.

[!NOTE]
If the profiling results show low performance, it is usually a sign of physical restrictions (like a 2" hose where a 3" is needed) or an undersized pump. The software can only optimize the hardware you have; it cannot "program" more flow into a restricted line.

Before You Start

Best practice is to have your supply tanks full and be connected to whatever you typically fill.

Step-by-Step Procedure

Navigate to Wizards: From Manual Mode, switch to the Wizards tab.
Select the Wizard: Choose Profile Main Pump from the Wizard to Run dropdown.
Select the Input: Choose the most restrictive carrier input.
Verify Instructions: Review the on-screen instructions.
Confirm and Continue: Press Confirm and Continue to run the wizard.
Wait for Process to Complete: Be patient while the system find the maximum flowrate and the maximum partial valve position.
Save or Cancel: Upon completing the process you can either save the results or cancel to discard.

When to Re-Run this Wizard

You only need to re-profile if the physical characteristics of your plumbing change:

Plumbing Changes: If you increase hose size, change a manifold, or add a different sprayer.
Pump Maintenance: If you replace the pump or the impeller.

Troubleshooting

"Failed to Profile": This often happens if there isn't enough water to maintain a steady flow or if a manual valve is accidentally left closed.
Low Max Flow: If your max GPM is lower than expected, check your main intake strainer for debris.
