Installing & Logging Into the Mixmate App

To use the Mixmate system in the field, you must install the Mixmate App on your tablet or phone. You generally cannot run the machine from a web browser — you need the installed mobile app to connect to the hardware.

  • You need an Android or iOS (Apple) device.
  • You need an internet connection (Wi-Fi or Cellular) to download the app.
  • You need a Mixmate user account (email and password) — make sure your administrator has already created one for you in Intersect. If you don't have credentials yet, see Account Introduction.

The app is free to download.

  • Android: Open the Google Play Store and search for "Mixmate".
  • iOS (iPad/iPhone): Open the App Store and search for "Mixmate by Praxidyn".

Tap Install or Get. Once installed, the Mixmate icon will appear on your home screen. Installing the app does not connect your tablet to the machine yet — it will only connect to the Mixmate machine's Wi-Fi network when you actually start a mix.

We release updates regularly to add features and improve performance. It is good practice to keep your app updated.

  • How to check your version: Open the app, tap the Admin tab, and scroll to the very bottom. You will see the Version and Build Number there.
  • How to update: Go back to your app store. If a new version is available, the button will say "Update" instead of "Open".
  • Open: Tap the Mixmate icon to launch the app.
  • Notifications (Optional): You may be asked if you want to receive notifications. We recommend selecting Allow so you get alerts about app updates.
  • User Agreement: You will see a safety warning and user agreement. You must agree to these terms to continue — you're agreeing to follow safety instructions, use protective equipment (PPE), and acknowledging that Praxidyn is not responsible for operator mistakes.

App appears "frozen" after pressing Agree? If you have just updated the app, this is usually normal — the app is performing a data migration, reorganizing your existing local data (Work Orders, Products, and History) into the new update's format. Depending on how much data is stored on your tablet, this can take a few minutes.

  • Be Patient: In most cases the app isn't actually frozen; it's just working through a large database.
  • Wait 5 Minutes: Leave the app open and the screen on. Most migrations complete within this window.
  • Do Not Force Close: Interrupting a migration can sometimes lead to data inconsistencies.

Enter your email and password. Your login is the same for the Mixmate App, the Web App (app.mixmate.com), and Intersect — one email and password for everything.

First sign-in on a device must be an Administrator. Once an admin has signed in, other team members can switch to their own user profile on that same device afterward without a full logout.

If your email is linked to more than one company (e.g., you are a contractor working for multiple clients), the app will ask you to choose which Organization you want to work in right now.

The app will ask: "Allow Mixmate to use your location?" You must select "Allow While Using App" and enable "Precise Location".

Why? The app does not track your GPS location for fun. Google and Apple require this permission so the app can scan for nearby Wi-Fi networks. The app uses this to automatically connect your tablet to the Mixmate Machine when you start a mix. If you deny this, the app cannot connect to the machine.

It's worth knowing the difference between the two:

  • Web App (app.mixmate.com): Use this to view data, create work orders, and run reports from the office. You cannot run the machine from here — for safety and security, you must be physically near the machine to run it.
  • Mobile App (Android/iOS): Use this on your tablet to connect to the machine, control the pumps, and run the mix.
  • The app has been "frozen" for more than 5 minutes after I pressed Agree. Email support@praxidyn.com with your Company Name and the email address of the Admin user signed into the device — our team can check whether the data migration has actually completed on the back end and help you get back to the mixing screen.
  • I can't see my Organization. This usually means your administrator hasn't added your user account to the team yet. Contact them to check your settings in Intersect.
  • I entered the right password, but it won't let me in. Double-check your spelling. If you're sure it's correct, try resetting your password — see Account Introduction.
  • The app won't connect to the machine later. This is often because Location Permissions were denied during setup. Go to your device Settings > Apps > Mixmate > Permissions and ensure Location is set to "While Using the App" or "Always".
  • I logged in, but I don't see my machine. First, check that you're in the correct Organization (if you belong to more than one). If it's still missing, contact your administrator to make sure they assigned the equipment to your user account.
  • Can I install it on my phone and my tablet? Yes. You can install the app on as many devices as you need using your single login.
  • Do I need internet to run the app? You need internet to download and log in for the first time. Once logged in, you can run mixes offline, but you will need internet again later to sync your records to the cloud.
