Managing Users in Intersect

- Create and manage user accounts.
- Assign access levels (decide who sees what).
- Manage subscriptions and billing.
- Configure API connections.
Note: You do not use Intersect to run mixes, configure the machine, or view reports. Those tasks happen in the Mixmate App or the Web App.
Who needs access?
Section titled “Who needs access?”- Administrators: You need access to Intersect to manage the team.
- Operators & Technicians: You usually do not need to log into Intersect. You only need a username and password (created by an administrator) to log into the Mixmate App.
1. Company Information
Section titled “1. Company Information”This section contains the core identity of your account.
- Fields: Company Name, Owner Email, Owner Phone, and Billing/Shipping Addresses.
- Editing: To update this information, click the Edit button in the Company Info section. Note that all fields are required to save changes.
2. Admin Users vs. Mixmate Profiles
Section titled “2. Admin Users vs. Mixmate Profiles”It is important to understand the difference between who can manage the system and who can operate the machines.
- Admin Users: These individuals have high-level access. They can sign into Intersect to manage the company dashboard, as well as use the Web App (app.mixmate.com) and the Mixmate Tablet App. All fields are required when creating an Admin User.
- Mixmate Profiles: These are the specific permission sets assigned to users within the Mixmate Tablet App. This controls what a user can see or change while standing at the mixing station.
3. Access Levels (Permissions)
Section titled “3. Access Levels (Permissions)”When setting up a user, you must assign one of the following Access Levels:
| Level | Capabilities | Recommended For |
| Power User | Full control. Can create/edit data, run mixes, and adjust system settings. (All Admins are automatically Power Users). | Owners & Lead Operators |
| Mix Only | Can see the Mix and Admin tabs. Limited to selecting a machine and a Work Order to run a mix. Cannot edit data. | Seasonal Help / Hired Drivers |
| Reference | Can see the Data and Admin tabs. Can view all data and generate PDF/CSV records, but has no editing or mixing ability. | Office Managers / Accountants |
4. How to Create a New User
Section titled “4. How to Create a New User”Before you start, it helps to have a list ready of who needs access and what role each person should have (see Access Levels above).
- Sign In: Log in to Intersect.
- Go to Users: Select the Users tab from the menu.
- Add User: Click the Add User button.
- Enter Details: Fill in the user's name and email address.
- Assign Access: Choose the appropriate permissions for that user.
Tip: Every person on your team should have their own unique account. Do not share logins.
Once added, the new Admin user receives a Welcome to Mixmate email — see the example below.
5. Managing Existing Users
Section titled “5. Managing Existing Users”You can return to the Users tab at any time to:
- Update a user's contact information.
- Change a user's access level (e.g., promote an Operator to an Admin).
- Disable a user who no longer works for the company to keep your system secure.
6. Example: The Welcome Email
Section titled “6. Example: The Welcome Email”This is what a new user receives when they're added to your company in Intersect:
