Tablet Error 202 - Is the Inductor Empty?

Error 202 is a logic alert that occurs when the system expects the inductor to be at its "empty" weight, but the load cells are still reporting a weight above that threshold.

Why am I getting this error?

You will receive Error 202 when the Mixmate system attempts to finish a hand-pour or chemical transfer, but cannot reach the calibrated empty weight of the inductor. This is a safeguard to ensure that all expensive or potent chemicals have been successfully moved into the main mix before the system moves to the next step.

The opposite problem doesn't throw an error: if the inductor doesn't drain at all when you press Done with a product, no 202 is thrown — this is also usually the result of an improperly set empty/drain weight, just in the other direction. See Inductor/Scales, Step 3, for that scenario.

How do I resolve this error?

1. Check for Fluid Retention

If there is still liquid sitting in the bottom of the cone, the system will not register as "empty."

  • Pump Performance: Verify that your main transfer pump is creating enough suction to pull the product out of the inductor.

  • Drain Valve: Ensure the inductor's drain valve is physically opening. If the actuator has failed, the product will remain trapped in the tank.

2. Verify "Empty" Status

Look inside the inductor. Is it physically empty and pulling air?

  • If it is NOT empty: Resolve the plumbing or pump issue preventing the drain.

  • If it IS empty: The system's "memory" of what empty feels like has drifted. This can happen due to changes in plumbing tension, debris on the frame, or recent hardware adjustments. See Inductor/Scales for a fuller scale diagnostic pathway, including checking for a failing load cell.

3. Run the Set Scale Empty Weight Wizard

If the tank is physically empty but the tablet still shows a weight (e.g., it thinks there are still 2 lbs of product left), you need to recalibrate the empty point.

  1. Ensure the inductor is completely clean and empty.

  2. Navigate to Manual Mode, select your machine, then switch to the Wizards tab.

  3. Select and run the Set Scale Empty Weight Wizard. This will teach the system that the current weight is the new "Zero" or "Empty" reference point.
