CAN Bus Resistance Check
The Mixmate's modules (valves, meters, the master controller, and more) all talk to each other over a shared CAN bus network. Like any CAN bus, it needs to be electrically "terminated" at each end to communicate reliably — this is done with two terminating resistors plugged into the harness. When those terminators are missing, failing, or the wiring between them is damaged, the result is poor or intermittent communication between modules, which shows up as a variety of blink codes and tablet errors.
This resistance check is the standard way to confirm whether the CAN bus itself is healthy before chasing any single module as the culprit.
Locate the Terminators
Section titled “Locate the Terminators”You should have 2 blue connectors with a yellow "TERMINATOR" label plugged into the Mixmate, placed as far apart from each other on the network as possible.

How to Test the Resistance
Section titled “How to Test the Resistance”With both terminators plugged into the harness:
SHUT OFF ALL POWER to the Mixmate.
Locate the Power Module. This is the module that displays the blink codes and machine status — the box behind the light needs to be opened up.
Using a digital multimeter, measure the resistance between the GREEN and YELLOW wires inside the Power Module.
Resistance Standards
Section titled “Resistance Standards”~60 Ohms: Ideal. Two healthy terminators detected.
~120 Ohms: Faulty. Only one terminator is working, or one is missing.
70–135 Ohms: Intermittent communication errors are very likely in this range.
<50 or >135 Ohms: The system will not function at all.
Also Check: Pin Seating
Section titled “Also Check: Pin Seating”Poor resistance readings aren't always the terminators themselves — make sure all pins are fully seated and well crimped. You'll need to remove the connector ends/caps to inspect this.
CAN Plug Pinouts
Section titled “CAN Plug Pinouts”Deutsch: Pin 1 Black/GND, Pin 2 Green/CAN Low, Pin 3 Yellow or White/CAN High, Pin 4 Red/12V+.
Amp Seal (ARAG Valves): Pin 1 Black/GND, Pin 2 Red/12V+, Pin 3 Green/CAN Low, Pin 4 Yellow/CAN High.
Where This Applies
Section titled “Where This Applies”A bad reading here is a common root cause behind:
Once the terminators and wiring check out, match the specific symptom you're seeing against its own article for the remaining steps.
