Calibrate Scale Wizard
Calibrate Scale is a setup wizard used to recalibrate the inductor scale.
Why is this necessary?
Section titled “Why is this necessary?”If you notice inductor weights are consistently off, or you just replaced a load cell or connector, recalibrate the scale.
Step-by-Step Procedure
Section titled “Step-by-Step Procedure”Navigate to Wizards: From Manual Mode, switch to the Wizards tab.
Select the Wizard: Choose Calibrate Scale from the Wizard to Run dropdown.
Verify Instructions: The on-screen note states: "Before calibration, fill the drain hose completely with water. Confirm the hose is full."
Confirm and Continue: Press Confirm and Continue.
Tare the Scale: Taring the scale happens automatically.
Add Water: Add exactly 5 gallons of water measured with a standard agricultural calibration vessel.
Confirm and Continue: Press Confirm and Continue.
Review the Calculation: The system calculates a new calibration and displays the difference.
Save or Cancel: Choose to save the new calibration or cancel and discard it.
Follow-Up Prompt: If you save, the system prompts you to run the Set Scale Empty Weight Wizard, with the option to Exit or Confirm and Continue — the latter shows instructions to set the main pump to mixing speed.
Before you finish, rule out environmental causes of weight error: check for "binding" (hoses or wires pulling on the tank steal weight from the load cells), make sure the trailer is level so weight sits vertically on the load cells, and avoid calibrating in high wind, which causes weight "bounce."
