Power Module Blink Code - 3 Blinks
A 3-Blink Error is a communication fault shutdown. It occurs when a critical error happens on the CAN bus network while the machine is actively running an operation.
What does this mean?
Section titled “What does this mean?”If you see the LED on the Power Module blinking three times every 5 seconds, the machine has detected a failure in communication between its internal modules during an active process.
To ensure safety and prevent incorrect mixing, the system triggers an emergency shutdown. This error is often the hardware-side equivalent of seeing a 301 or 208 error on your tablet.
How do I resolve this error?
Section titled “How do I resolve this error?”1. Reset the System
Section titled “1. Reset the System”Reboot the Mixmate. Power down the machine completely, wait a few seconds, and turn it back on. This clears the communication buffer and allows the modules to re-establish their connections.
2. Check Power
Section titled “2. Check Power”If voltage dips too low anywhere on the system while a valve or pump is drawing power — even at a component far from the Power Module — the communication signal can "brown out," causing modules to lose track of each other and trigger a shutdown. See Power Check for the full procedure.
3. Check CAN Bus Resistance
Section titled “3. Check CAN Bus Resistance”This is the most important test for communication health. See CAN Bus Resistance Check for the full testing procedure.
4. Check Grounding
Section titled “4. Check Grounding”If the 3-blink error persists after power and CAN bus resistance both check out, inspect the ground wire between the Power Module and the machine frame. A poor ground is the most common cause of communication "noise" that disrupts the signals between modules.
