Prepare your Mixmate SI to Run

Bringing your Mixmate SI out of storage is essentially the winterizing process in reverse. Instead of ending with the system empty and drained, you want to end with every line fully charged with water and every valve confirmed working — ready to connect a tote of product.

Phase 1: Tablet and Electronics

• Power: Reconnect the main power source or battery.

• Tablet: Reinstall the tablet in its bracket and confirm it powers on and connects to the machine.

• Update the App and Firmware: Update the Mixmate App itself before you head out to the machine — do this at the office (or anywhere with internet access), since the machine's own Wi-Fi has no internet connection to pull an app update through. Once you're at the machine and the tablet has connected, right after reapplying power, check for a machine firmware update inside the app and install it before proceeding, so the tablet and machine are running compatible, up-to-date software for the season.

Phase 2: Reposition Valves Using Manual Mode

The valves are electronically controlled, so moving them requires Manual Mode (Manual Mode tab > select your machine). Everything from here through Phase 4 happens in this same Manual Mode session, using water instead of product.

1. Cycle Valves: In Manual Mode, open and close every valve a few times to confirm they still move freely after sitting closed all winter.

2. Reconnect Storage Disconnects: Reconnect the Rinse Line, the Tote connections, and the Carrier Line connections you disconnected for winterizing.

3. Close the Drain Valve: In Manual Mode, close the main Drain Valve so the system can hold water again.

Phase 3: Charge the System with Water

Still in Manual Mode, use clean water — not product — to charge every line before you connect a tote of chemical.

• Fill and Discharge Lines: Open the Fill Lines and Discharge Lines in Manual Mode and run water through them until they're fully charged, with no air pockets.

• Jug and Tank Rinses: Activate the rinse valves until water flows steadily from the nozzles.

• Gear Meters: Run water through each gear meter so it's primed and ready to read accurately.

Phase 4: Confirm Everything Works

Before connecting a tote of actual product, finish confirming the machine is working correctly while it's still just running water.

• Individually activate each valve, pump, and flowmeter in Manual Mode and confirm it responds and reads correctly.

• Watch for leaks at any connection you reconnected in Phase 2.

Once everything checks out in Manual Mode, you're ready to connect totes of product and resume normal mixing.
