Legacy to Mixmate 2.0 Update Process

Legacy to Mixmate 2.0 Update Process

Order of operations:
NOTE: If your app has already updated (the new app looks completely different and you have had to set a password to get in), skip to step 5. If step 5 does not work send an email to support@praxidyn.com.
1. Make sure you are on app version 243 of the Legacy App. If you do not have this version, please send an email to support@praxidyn.com
3. Do step 2 until you get all modules reporting "Module Up to Date", and make sure you fully reboot your system (Disconnect Battery) after each time you run the updates.
4. Now we start updating to the new software.
5. Open "Mixmate Module Updater" and run the updates through this app until it shows "All modules Up to Date" and fully reboot the system after each time you run the process: https://support.praxidyn.com/portal/en/kb/articles/mixmate-update-process-18-3-2024

Extra Details:

1. Ensure that you've created your new logins on the new intersect platform. Admin users can find a link to reset their password in the welcome email they received over the weekend. If the link is expired, users can visit intersect.mixmate.com and click "Forgot Password" to receive a new link.

2. Download the Mixmate Machine Updater App from the Google Play Store. You will need to have at least one tablet loaded with this app to proceed. Once installed, you can open the app and scan for Mixmate devices. Mixmate machines must be turned on in order for the app to find them. When scanning completes, select the machine you want to update and allow and wait for the update process to complete. Then, switch the machine power off, wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on. It is recommended that you run the updater app at least once more to ensure at the end of the process it reads 'All modules up-to-date.' If it updates again, repeat the above process until you see the message.

In the event that the updater process does not work, or there is an error, let us know. This may indicate that the machine firmware had not been properly maintained, and we will have to take additional steps to rectify this.

3. Download the Mixmate App for the Google Play Store. Once you have the app downloaded, log in with the credentials you defined in the first step. Ensure that you accept all permissions that the app requests, including location. These are necessary for the functionality of the machine.

4. Verify machine functionality in Manual Mode. At the bottom of the main page, you will see a tab that reads 'Data.' Click there. At the bottom of the list, there is a section for Mixmates. You will see a list of your Mixmates. To the right of the Mixmate name and serial, you will see an icon that looks like 3 horizontal lines with vertical hashes through them. Tap on this icon for the Mixmate you wish to test. This should bring you into manual mode (in some rare cases, it will open a menu which will allow you to select manual mode), and it should ask if you want to connect to the Mixmate network. Confirm that you do. You should now see a scrollable page with a number of large, dark gray buttons corresponding to the various valves on your machine. Use these to test that ALL the components of your machine are working. If the machine has an inductor, proceed to step 5 before leaving manual mode.

5. Set drain weight on your inductor. Ensure that you have the desired amount of water already inside the inductor (this will be the constant level that the inductor returns to between hand-pours and at the end of each mix). Scroll to the section of manual mode where you see the toggle switch that reads 'Scale.' You do NOT need to turn the scale on at this time. To the right of the toggle switch, you should see a button that says 'Drain Weight.' Select this, and wait for the steady signal. Once it's green and reads steady, hit 'Save.'

At this stage, you should be good to go to run mixes. All your products from the previous version have been transferred. If you have any questions on how to create work orders, sort your data with report tags, create conditional rates or anything troubleshooting and error handling, please visit our support site at support.praxidyn.com. If you need access to your old data for any reason, you should still be able to log in to the legacy intersect platform at intersect.praxidyn.com. NOTE: The legacy intersect platform is being deprecated, so we cannot guarantee your long-term access. Please plan accordingly and transfer any data you may need in the near future.
