It is a common mistake to try to connect to the Mixmate Wi-Fi the same way you connect to a home network. Because the Mixmate system handles its own security, the connection process is designed to be automatic.
You do not need a Wi-Fi password. The Mixmate generates its own private network specifically for the tablet to control the hardware. The Mixmate app is designed to securely and automatically join this network without manual intervention.
The Golden Rule: Never enter anything into the password field. If you try to manually enter a password, it can actually prevent the app from auto-connecting in the future.
If you cannot connect, or if you previously entered a password and now the system won't link up, follow these steps:
If you have already entered a password, you must reset the connection:
Go to the Tablet Settings > Wi-Fi.
Find the Mixmate Wi-Fi network in the list.
Long-press the network name and select "Forget Network."
Re-open the Mixmate app; it should now attempt to reconnect automatically with the correct settings.
The Mixmate hardware is designed to communicate with only one device at a time.
Ensure that another tablet, phone, or laptop is not already connected to the Mixmate Wi-Fi.
If another device is connected, the Mixmate will appear "busy" or invisible to your primary tablet.
Ensure the Mixmate Power Module is turned on and receiving adequate voltage. If the system doesn't have power, it cannot broadcast the Wi-Fi signal.
Remember that while you are connected to the Mixmate hardware, your tablet usually will not have internet access (unless using a cellular-enabled tablet). You will need to switch back to a standard Wi-Fi hotspot or cellular data to Sync to the Cloud.
