Power Module Blink Code - 4 Blinks

Power Module Blink Code: 4 Blinks

A 4-Blink Error is a safety shutdown caused by a "Lost Tablet" condition. It occurs when the machine is in the middle of an active operation but loses its connection to the Mixmate App.

What does this mean?

If you see the LED on the Power Module blinking four times every 5 seconds, the hardware has lost communication with the tablet while an operation was still running.

To prevent equipment from running unattended or overflowing, the Power Module triggers an emergency shutdown.

The most common scenario: This frequently happens if a user leaves a valve or pump turned "ON" while in Diagnostics Mode and then walks away from the machine. If the tablet goes out of range or the screen times out while a manual override is active, the system will shut down and show 4 blinks.

How do I fix this?

1. Re-establish Connection

In many cases, this error is temporary.

  • Bring the tablet back within range of the machine.

  • Ensure the Mixmate App is open and active.

  • The error will often automatically clear once the tablet and machine successfully "handshake" again.

2. System Reset

If the error does not clear automatically after the tablet is reconnected:

  • Reboot the Mixmate. Power the machine off and back on to reset the communication state.

  • Restart the App. Close the Mixmate app completely and reopen it.

How to prevent this in the future

  • Exit Diagnostics: Always turn off manual overrides and exit Diagnostics Mode before walking away from the machine.

  • Tablet Range: Stay within 100 feet of the Mixmate while an operation is active.

  • Screen Settings: As noted in Error 401, set your tablet's screen timeout to a longer duration so it doesn't "sleep" and kill the connection during a mix.
