Power Module Blink Code - 1 Blink
What does this mean?
If you are seeing 1 blink every 5 seconds on the Power Module on your Mixmate machine, you are not getting enough power to the machine for it to work properly. The voltage has to get below about 11 volts to show this error. You will have to reboot the Mixmate machine to clear this error.
How do I fix this?
- Get a charger on your battery.
- Understanding Voltage
- 11.7 volts and below is a dead battery
- 11.8 to 12.3 volts is a very low battery. Typically 12.3 volts represents about 25% capacity remaining.
- This is also where we throw low voltage warnings.
- 12.7 to 13.8 volts maintains the current capacity of a battery.
- The voltage can be in this range indefinitely.
- Greater than 14 volts adds capacity back to the battery.
- WARNING: overcharging can damage batteries just like letting them go dead!
- If you never get above 13.8 volts, you never add capacity back to the battery. You can have voltage, but no capacity in a battery. This means the voltage looks good when there is no draw, but the voltage drops hard when there is a load demand. We have a weak group 31 battery we test with and we can have 13.5 volts with the charger attached and get constant low voltage errors because there is no capacity left in the battery.
- Check screws on back of battery disconnect switch
- Check ground wire connection between Mixmate frame and Power module.
- Check connections on both sides of the Power Lug on the Mixmate frame.
- Check fuses
- Pro Inductor: 15 amp (x2) in fuse panel (black box, rear top of unit)
- Fusion Inductor: Auto-resetting circuit breakers
- External Starter: in-line fuse, inside housing
- Check voltage entering Power Module
- Remove cover to white box
- Wires are labeled on circuit board
- 12 volt IN should match battery voltage
- Out (1 and 2) should match battery voltage with battery disconnect switch ON position
- Power indicators to check
- Stack valve lights on
- Internal valves in Inductors light up
