Setup: Mix Actions Tab Overview

Mix Actions tell the system exactly when to turn a component (like a pump or auxiliary valve) on and off based on the stage of the mix. To begin, select the Type of action you want to create.

1. Whole Mix

This component operates during the entire mixing process every time.

  • Behavior: Turns on as soon as the mix begins and shuts off when the mix finishes. It does not operate during Pre/Post Mix air purges or rinses.

  • Common Use: Electric main pumps or master safety valves that must be open for any liquid to move.

  • Component Type: Define if the device is CAN Bus or Digital.

2. For Destination

Use this when a component only needs to run if the product is headed to a specific tank or sprayer.

  • Behavior: Links to a specific destination in your database. If you select "Sprayer 1," this valve/pump only activates when the mix is assigned to "Sprayer 1."

  • Warning: This creates a database link; if you delete the destination from the system, this action will break.

  • Component Type: Define if the device is CAN Bus or Digital.

  • Select a Destination: Choose the destination that triggers this component.

3. During Operation

In the Mixmate system, a Mix is the total job, while an Operation is the specific process of adding an individual product to that mix. An operation for a single product may include prefilling, measuring, and rinsing.

  • Behavior: The component starts at the very beginning of the product's addition (prefill), stays on while the product is being measured, continues running through the rinsing phase, and only shuts off when that specific product's operation is reported complete.

  • Common Use: A rinse pump that pressurizes the inductor; it needs to be running before you start the chemical and stay on until the rinse is finished.

  • Component Type: Define if the device is CAN Bus or Digital.

  • Select Plumbing Input: Choose the specific plumbing(s) that should trigger this component. You can select more than one.

4. While Measuring

This is a more "narrow" trigger than During Operation.

  • Behavior: The component only operates while product is actively flowing/being measured. As soon as the meter or scale hits the target for that specific product, the component shuts off. It will not run during the prefill or rinse phases of that product's operation.

  • Common Use: Product boost pumps that are only needed to move the chemical itself.

  • Component Type: Define if the device is CAN Bus or Digital.

  • Select Plumbing Input: Choose the specific plumbing(s) that should trigger this component. You can select more than one.

5. Carrier Line

This is for complex setups (typically industrial) where multiple carrier line throttles are defined in the carrier assembly.

  • Behavior: The component only runs when a specific line throttle is being used.

  • Component Type: Define if the device is CAN Bus or Digital.

  • Select Input: Choose the specific line throttle association that triggers this component.
