If your flowmeter is providing inaccurate readings or no readings at all, follow these steps in order to diagnose the problem.
First, verify that the hardware is receiving power and a signal path exists.
Check the Lights: Are the power and signal lights lit on the meter?
Check Connections: Ensure all cabling is intact and that all plugs are seated securely in their sockets. Look for any corrosion on the pins.
Verify that the software "talks" to the correct hardware port. You can find these settings here:
Go to the Data tab.
Select Mixmates.
Select your specific Mixmate from the list.
Tap Configuration.
Check to make sure the flowmeter/mag meter is assigned to the specific Module that it is physically connected to.
[!TIP]
We recommend calling your dealer or Mixmate support to help walk you through this process, as changing these settings can affect how other components function.
If the hardware is powered and correctly assigned but the totals are wrong, it usually boils down to one of two reasons:
If the meter is always off by the same percentage (e.g., it always reads 10% low), you need to adjust the Calibration Factor using this formula:
Example: Mixmate shows 100 gallons, but your sprayer tank actually has 120 gallons. Your current calibration is 24.
$$(100 / 120) \times 24 = 20$$Your new calibration factor is 20.
If the readings jump around or are inconsistent from one load to the next, this is almost always a grounding issue.
The Cause: Stray voltage is entering the liquid stream and confusing the magnetic sensors.
The Fix: You must identify what is putting stray voltage into the liquid and ensure the system is properly grounded.
The lights on your meter provide instant diagnostic feedback.
| Light Color | Meaning |
| Green | Liquid is present, but there is no flow. |
| Blue | Liquid is present and flowing. |
| Purple | No liquid detected (typically air). |
| Red | Error. Count the flashes and contact support. |
| Flashing Blue/Green | Grounding issue. System is not properly grounded with the external world. |
The light toggles between Dim and Bright to indicate flow.
If you are experiencing communication issues, ensure your system is up to date. This process is found in the Mixmate list:
Go to the Data tab.
Select Mixmates.
Tap the Menu button (three dots) on the right side of the desired Mixmate.
Select Update Firmware.
