How do I connect Mixmate into an existing scale with a display?

Connecting an existing scale with display to Mixmate

  1. Find the connection point in either the scale display or in the junction box where the load cells all connect together.
  2. Using a digital multi meter, measure the voltage between Excitation+ ( Could be Reference+ or V+ ) and Excitation- ( Could be Reference- or V- ). If the measured value is less than 5 volts, connecting to the existing system will not work.
  3. Connect Excitation+ ( Reference+ or V+ ) to Pin 7.
  4. Connect Excitation- ( Reference - or V- ) to Pin 6.
  5. Connect Load Cell+ to Pin 2
  6. Connect Load Cell- to Pin 3

**NOTE** Refer to manufacturer's owners manual for more information about the scale that you are connecting to Mixmate.
