To use the Mixmate system in the field, you must install the Mixmate App on your tablet or phone.
Important: You generally cannot run the machine from a web browser. You need the installed mobile app to connect to the hardware.
You need an Android or iOS (Apple) device.
You need an internet connection (Wi-Fi or Cellular) to download the app.
You need a Mixmate user account (email and password) to log in.
The app is free to download.
Android: Open the Google Play Store and search for "Mixmate".
iOS (iPad/iPhone): Open the App Store and search for "Mixmate by Praxidyn".
Tap Install or Get. Wait for the download to finish. Once installed, the Mixmate icon will appear on your home screen.
We release updates regularly to add features and improve performance. It is good practice to keep your app updated.
How to check your version: Open the app, tap the Admin tab, and scroll to the very bottom. You will see the Version and Build Number there.
How to update: Go back to your app store. If a new version is available, the button will say "Update" instead of "Open".
Installing the app does not connect your tablet to the machine yet. The app will only connect to the Mixmate machine's Wi-Fi network when you actually start a mix.
Can I install it on my phone and my tablet? Yes. You can install the app on as many devices as you need using your single login.
Do I need internet to run the app? You need internet to download and log in for the first time. Once logged in, you can run mixes offline, but you will need internet again later to sync your records to the cloud.
