Updating Firmware on Your Mixmate Modules

Updating the firmware on your Mixmate ensures your machine’s modules have the latest improvements, bug fixes, and compatibility updates. Firmware updates are performed through the Mixmate app and your Mixmate machine.

Before You Begin

Before updating firmware:

• Make sure your Mixmate machine is powered on

• You are near the machine

• Your mobile device/tablet is connected to the Mixmate app

• You are logged into the app

Firmware updates are done from within the app when the machine is turned on and reachable.

Step‑by‑Step Update Process

1. Open the Mixmate App

Open the Mixmate app on your tablet or phone.

2. Go to the Data Tab

• Tap the Data tab in the bottom navigation bar.

This gives access to setup and machine tools.

3. Open the Mixmates Card

• Find the Mixmates card (usually under the Other section).

• Tap it to see all the Mixmate machines you have access to.

This shows a list of Mixmate machines connected to your organization.

4. Open the Menu for Your Mixmate

• Find the Mixmate you want to update.

• Tap the menu button (three dots) on that Mixmate’s card.

This opens actions you can take for that machine.

5. Select “Update Machine”

• Tap Update Machine from the modal menu.

• Confirm any prompts.

This will connect to the machine and begin the firmware update process.

⚠️ Important:
Follow all on‑screen instructions exactly. Do not turn off the machine or exit the app until the update completes.

How It Works

When you select Update Machine:

• The app connects to the Mixmate machine

• It checks for available firmware updates

• If updates exist, it installs them to the modules

• The app will guide you through the process

Modules include the electronic components that control:

• Scales / inductor measurement

• Valves and pumps

• Flowmeters

• Other system components

Keeping firmware current improves stability and feature support.

Tips for Firmware Updates

• Stay close to the machine during updates

• Ensure the Mixmate has power

• Do not interrupt the update once it starts
  (Doing so may require retrying the update)

• You only need to update when prompted or when new firmware is released

Troubleshooting

I don’t see “Update Machine” in the menu.

• Make sure the Mixmate machine is powered on and reachable

• Ensure your device is connected to the machine’s network

The update fails or stops.

• Restart the app and machine

• Try again and follow the prompts carefully
