Updating the firmware on your Mixmate ensures your machine’s modules have the latest improvements, bug fixes, and compatibility updates.
Firmware updates are performed through the Mixmate app while connected to your machine.

Before You Begin

  • Power: Make sure your Mixmate machine is powered on.

  • Proximity: Stay near the machine during the update to ensure a stable connection.

  • Connection: Ensure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the Mixmate Wi-Fi network and you are logged into the app.

Step-by-Step Update Process

  1. Open the Data Tab: Tap the Data tab in the bottom navigation bar.

  2. Open the Mixmates Card: Find the Mixmates card (usually under the Other section) and tap it to see your list of machines.

  3. Open the Menu for Your Mixmate: Find the Mixmate you want to update and tap the menu button (three dots) on the right side of that Mixmate’s card.

  4. Select “Update Machine”: Tap Update Machine from the pop-up menu and confirm any prompts.

  5. Wait for Completion: The app will connect to the machine, check for updates, and install them to the modules.

[!CAUTION] Important: Follow all on-screen instructions exactly. Do not turn off the machine or exit the app until the update is 100% complete. Interrupting the process may require you to restart the update from the beginning.

How It Works

When you select Update Machine, the app pushes the latest software to the individual electronic modules that control:

  • Scales and inductor measurement

  • Valves and pumps

  • Flowmeters

  • Other system components

Keeping firmware current improves system stability and ensures support for the newest Mixmate features.

Troubleshooting

  • I don’t see “Update Machine” in the menu: Ensure the Mixmate machine is powered on and your tablet is connected to the machine's Wi-Fi network.

  • The update fails or stops: Restart the app and the machine, then try again. Ensure you stay close to the Master Module to maintain a strong Wi-Fi signal during the data transfer.
