A Mix is the actual process of running a job. It takes the plan (the Work Order) and turns it into a completed task (the Record).
Important: You must use the Mixmate App (on your tablet or phone) to run a mix. You cannot run a mix or control the machine from the Web App.
Before you start, you need to decide if you are using the machine or just recording data.
Automated Mix: You select a Mixmate Machine in the app. The app connects to the machine and controls the pumps and valves for you.
Manual Record: You leave the Mixmate Machine selection blank. You measure the chemicals yourself, but use the app to record the data so your inventory is tracked.
1. Go to Mix Setup Open the Mixmate App and tap the Mix Setup tab.
2. Select a Work Order Tap the dropdown menu to choose the Work Order you want to run.
Note: If you don't see your work order, check if it was assigned to a specific operator or machine that isn't you.
3. Select a Mixmate (Optional)
To use the machine: Select your Mixmate from the list.
To record manually: Leave this field blank.
4. Start the Mix Review your products and amounts one last time, then tap Start Mix.
5. Connect and Run
If you selected a machine: Follow the on-screen prompts to connect your tablet to the Mixmate hardware. The app will guide you through the filling process.
If you are manual: The app will ask you to confirm the amounts you actually used.
When the mix is finished, a Record is created automatically. This saves all the details of what happened to the cloud, so you can view it later in the Web App.
Why can't I see my Work Order? It might be hidden by a filter. Work orders can be assigned to specific Machines or Operators. If you are logged in as "John," you won't see work orders assigned to "Steve."
Do I have to use a machine? No. You can use the app purely for record-keeping if you want to track inventory for hand-mixed loads. Just leave the "Mixmate" field blank.
