Creating a Work Order

A Work Order is your plan. It tells the system exactly what to mix and how much to use. You must have a work order before you can run a mix.

Note: You can create work orders in the Mixmate App or on the Web App (app.mixmate.com). The steps below focus on the mobile app.

Before you begin

Make sure your Products are already entered in the system. You cannot add a product to a work order if it doesn't exist yet.

How to Create a Work Order

1. Go to the Work Orders Page Open the Mixmate App, tap the Data tab, and select Work Orders.

2. Start a New Order

  • New: Tap the + (plus) button to start from scratch.

  • Copy: If you want to use a previous plan again, tap the three dots on an existing work order and select Copy.

3. Fill in the Details Fill out the form to define your plan. Here are the key settings:

  • Work Order vs. Reusable Mix: Select "Work Order" for a one-time job. Select "Reusable Mix" if you want to save this as a template to use over and over.

  • Totals vs. Rates: Choose "Totals" to mix a specific amount (e.g., 100 gallons). Choose "Rates" to calculate based on field size (e.g., 5 gallons per acre).

  • Product List: Add the products you need. Note: The order matters! The machine will add them in the order you list them here.

4. Assignments (Important!) You can optionally assign a work order to a specific Mixmate Machine or Operator.

  • If you assign it: Only that specific machine or person will see the work order.

  • If you leave it blank: It will be visible to everyone on your team.

5. Save Tap Save when you are finished. Your work order is now ready to be used in the Mix Setup screen.

Common Questions

Why can't I see my work order in the list? This usually happens because of Assignments. If a work order is assigned to a specific machine or operator, and you are using a different one, the system hides it to keep your list clean.

Can I edit a work order? Yes, but only before you run it. Once a mix has been started using that work order, it cannot be changed.
