CAN Bus Communications Diagnostics

If you are having CAN Bus issues here are the steps to diagnose CAN issues.

Terminators: With the terminator removed from the system, check there is 120 Ohms between pins 2 and 3. There should be 2 terminators in the system.

** Make sure all pins are fully seated and pins well crimped. You will need to remove the ends/caps to inspect this.

Check Wiring in plugs: CAN plug pinouts

Deutsche:

1 - Black/GND

2 - Green/CAN Low

3 - Yellow or White/CAN High

4 - Red/12V+

Amp Seal(Arag Valves):

1 - Black/GND

2 - Red/12V+

3 - Green/CAN Low

4 - Yellow/CAN High
