Adding Product Amounts - Product Rate Data - Variable Rate

Adding a Product with a Variable Rate

The Variable Rate setting allows you to define a flexible range for a product. Instead of a single fixed amount, you provide a minimum and maximum limit, and the system defaults to your most common rate.

1. Product Selection

Select the product you want to add to the Work Order.

2. Product Rate Data

In the selection menu, change this to Variable Rate. This enables the fields required to set your rate boundaries.

3. Setting the Range (Min, Default, and Max)

This section uses three specific values to guide the operator:

  • Minimum Rate (Left Entry): The lowest allowable application rate for this Work Order.

  • Default Rate (Center Entry): The rate the product will initialize to when the mix begins. This should be your most commonly used or "standard" rate.

  • Maximum Rate (Right Entry): The highest allowable application rate for this Work Order.

Note: These minimum and maximum values act as safety limits. During the Mix Preview, an operator can adjust the rate, but the system will not allow them to enter a value outside of this defined range.

4. Rate Units

Choose the units that describe the application rate (e.g., Gallons per Acre or Pints per 100 Gallons).

5. Rinse Amount and Units

These fields determine the volume of carrier used to clean the lines after this specific product is finished.

  • Initial Value: This will automatically pull the default rinse amount you defined when the product was first created in your inventory.

  • Customization: You can override the default here if this specific Work Order requires a different rinse volume.

How it works during Mix Preview

When an operator views the Mix Preview, the product will display the Default Rate. The operator can tap the rate to change it to any value between the Minimum and Maximum limits set above. This allows for quick field adjustments without needing to edit the master Work Order.
