Adding a Product with an On/Off Rate

Using the On/Off rate setting allows you to include a product in a Work Order with a pre-set rate, but gives the operator the ability to quickly enable or disable it during the Mix Preview without changing the Work Order.

1. Product Selection

Select the product you want to add to the Work Order.

2. Product Rate Data

In the selection menu, change this to On/Off. This tells the system to treat this product as an optional addition with a fixed rate.

3. Product Rate and Units

  • Product Rate: Enter the numerical value of the desired application rate.

  • Rate Units: Choose the units that describe that rate (e.g., Ounces per Acre or Quarts per 100 Gallons).

By defining this now, the operator won't need to perform any calculations in the field; they simply choose whether to include the product or not.

4. Rinse Amount and Units

These fields determine the volume of carrier used to clean the lines after this specific product is finished.

  • Initial Value: This will automatically pull the default rinse amount you defined when the product was first created in your inventory.

  • Customization: You can override the default here if this specific Work Order requires a different rinse volume.

How it works during Mix Preview

When an operator proceeds to the Mix Preview page for a Work Order containing an "On/Off" product, they can control the product by entering a simple numerical value:

  • Enter 1 for ON: The product is included in the mix and the machine calculates the required amount based on the mix size.

  • Enter 0 for OFF: The product is completely ignored for that specific mix, and no plumbing assignment is required.
