Adding Product Amounts - Product Rate Data - Custom Condition

Setting a Product Rate Based on a Condition

Mixmate allows you to create a "sliding scale" for products. Instead of a flat rate, the machine can automatically calculate how much product to add based on a live condition (like Wind Speed).

Example Scenario:

  • 0–4.99 MPH Wind: No drift control needed (Rate = 0).

  • 5 MPH Wind: The rate starts at 0.125 quarts per 100 gallons.

  • 20 MPH Wind: The rate reaches a maximum of 2.0 quarts per 100 gallons.

1. Product Selection

Select the product you want to add to the Work Order (e.g., "Drift Control Agent").

2. Product Rate Data

This is a selection field. To use logic based on environmental factors, set this to Custom Condition. This opens the additional fields needed to build your rate curve.

3. Select the Condition

Choose the specific condition this product should reference. In our example, we would select Wind Speed (MPH).

4. Default Condition Value

Enter the value the app should use as a starting point when you first open the Mix Setup. For example, if you set this to 0, the app will initially assume no wind until you update it with live data.

5. Condition Value and Product Rate Entries

This is where you build your "curve." To create a "step" where nothing happens until a specific threshold is met, you use points very close together (like 4.99 and 5.0).

For our example, you would enter:

  • Point 1: Condition = 0 / Rate = 0

  • Point 2: Condition = 4.99 / Rate = 0

  • Point 3: Condition = 5 / Rate = 0.125

  • Point 4: Condition = 20 / Rate = 2.0

How Mixmate reads this: > Between 0 and 4.99 MPH, the rate stays at 0. The moment the wind hits 5 MPH, the machine "jumps" to the starting rate of 0.125. From 5 to 20 MPH, Mixmate interpolates (scales) the rate linearly. For example, if the wind is 12.5 MPH, the machine automatically calculates the rate to be 1.06 quarts per 100 gallons.

6. Rate Units

Define the units for your rate (e.g., Quarts per 100 Gallons). This ensures the math matches your chemical label.

7. Rinse Amount

You can specify a custom rinse amount for this product within this specific Work Order.

  • Initial Value: This defaults to whatever you set when you first created the product in the system.

  • Customization: If this specific mix requires a more thorough flush than usual, you can increase the rinse volume here.
